More Info:
Celine Dion certainly does take chances on her first new English album in four years, Taking Chances, relying on edgy songwriters like Evanescence's Ben Moody, rapper Ne-Yo and punk/pop song doctor extraordinaire Linda Perry to inject her sound with some aggressive oomph.Reviews:
''Taking Chances'' is an English language studio album by Canadian singer Céline Dion, released on November 7, 2007 on CD and CD/DVD. It's her 13th English album and 35th in total. The collector's edition which includes CD, DVD and perfume in special package, was released in December 2007 in North America and February 2008 in Europe. On April 21, 2008, a new deluxe version was digitally released in Europe (except France), containing "Immensité, "Map to My Heart" and "Taking Chances (I-Soul extended remix)" as bonus tracks. - Wikipedia
Okay, Vegas' most polarizing draw isn't exactly co-writing with Cannibal Corpse or anything, but we are intrigued to see her venture out of her comfort zone with the help of Christina Aguilera and former Evanescence axe-brah Ben Moody. Dion's also banking that Linda Perry's hitmaking touch hasn't flagged, because the 4 Non Blondes wailer helps out as well. Our prediction: Celine's career will go on. And on. And on.
