Based on the play by Herb Gardner, this sensitive comedy concerns unconventional-and unemployed-ex-TV writer Murray Burns (Jason Robards, Jr.), who makes the most of his escape from the rat race in New York by enjoying his time with his nephew, Nick (Barry Gordon).
