The Truckers'seventh album, A Blessing and a Curse, takes in all the elements that make them great and condenses them into the tightest, hardest-rocking set of songs they've yet to produce. Opening track"Feb 14"sounds like the best, most poetic song the Replacements never released, and is the tip of the iceberg.

Reviews:

These indie Alabamans have always identified as country-rock, but their shaggy sounds been consistently more Crazy Horse. Producer David Barbe has apparently encouraged their rhythm section to tighten up, though, with results that are either a) forceful, or b) slick, depending on your perspective. Well take a), thank you kindly.
